Nice day, good walk. However, we passed a lot of unprepared people. This is a mountain, please take the appropriate equipment. The centre had warm drinks and snacks
My friend and I went to the visitor centre on 8th October and what a disappointing experience. The staff member was rude and condescending. For someone who informed me regularly climbs Ben Nevis, I hoped she would inspire me to undertake the challenge of this climb but instead I left feeling pretty deflated and disheartened. She perhaps needs to consider whether a customer facing role is really the right job for her. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and I do hope to one day return to Ben Nevis (unfortunately the visibility was poor on this occasion) and see other cheery faces who are also up for the challenge!
