It's common knowledge that Nevisport does lots of ludicrously priced "pro" gear, probably doing the lions share of their business to foreign tourists who don't know any better (not uncommon in Fort William obviously), but they can't even be bothered to say hi to potential customers. In February we saw several "black Friday" deals still on, so they clearly feel themselves above normal shop work like customer service or basic price changes.I'd say "avoid", however if you can't work that out within seconds you deserve to be the one keeping them in business, or really need a new hat that you're prepared to pay the 10-40% tourist tax they've voluntarily added on your behalf.
Good for all out door activity clothes and boots
The staff are always friendly and helpful with a great selection of goods.
I used to rate this place very highly and the cafe was a good ace to meet up with people, but it all seems very pricey these days, better to walk up the high street for better deals in my view. Still have the mountain weather forecast posted up inside the front door which is a bonus. Can't comment on the food in the cafe as we didn't eat there, but it always used to be quite good and is a pleasant place.
Stopped in for lunch, very impressed with the menu range and prices, portions were plentiful and seemingly all freshly made! Sat on the terrace and it was very comfortable and relaxing. Only gave you four stars because even though mildly witty the anti carnivore comment from the vegetarian waitress as she delivered our meals was not appreciated by all.
