We rang the day before New Years eve and didnt expect to get a table but we did.The food was lovely and the staff were polite and helpfulthe atmosphere was busy and we enjoyed out time

Very good food and beers, and nice staff, they accomodated us even if we arrived without booking and the place was full, I would definitely recommend to book in advance. Great atmosphere, stop here if you can :)
Place seemed nice and staff were friendly. Service was quick, however the food was underwhelming. We both ordered steak pie (so in fairness, cannot comment on anything else), but instead of a hearty shortcrust dream, we got chewy stew with a brittle bit of puff pasty balanced on top (and a few very plain veggies). Probably a personal preference thing, but I do feel that sort of thing should be at least alluded to in the menu. Both very disappointed, but it filled our bellies and didn't break the bank.
